ALDO LEOPOLD NATURE CENTER WEDDING by QUEENS AND HEARTS
I get big fat smile on my face every time I look at this blog post’s cover photo with Laurie and Brandon in it. Yes it’s posed, yes I am biased as their wedding photographer, but what a cute and laid back couple those two are!
When I’ve met them during my initial wedding consultation, I did spend majority of the time talking to Brandon about cats, fluorescent light frequencies and honey bee swarming.
Laurie’s and Brandon’s Aldo Leopold Nature Center wedding happened on one of the hottest days I experienced this wedding season. Nevertheless outdoor loving couple’s wedding ceremony was planned to happen outside, in Phenelogy Garden, overlooking summer prairie land.
After the short ceremony some folks were enjoying shade and cocktails on the back patio, while some other wedding guests enjoyed short hikes in the Aldo Leopold Nature center garden and prairie trails.
This time besides wedding lighting, center peaces, flowers, etc., reception room had somewhat unusual wedding decorations- amazing taxidermied animals. I for some reason am very much fascinated by taxidermy. Dining room walls had owl ducks, badger, owl, fox, hawk and other animalitos. Ha!
For their honeymoon Laurie and Brandon headed out to the Isle Royale National Park– an ideal romantic destination for outdoor loving people!
